☀️ Light & Temperature
  • Sunlight: Thrives best in full sun in a warm, sheltered spot protected from harsh winds.
  • Temperature: Requires a consistent soil temperature of 15°C–20°C (60°F–68°F) to sprout. Avoid planting outdoors too early, as cold air and night frost will severely stun or kill the plant.

🌱 Sowing & Spacing
  • Indoor Sowing: Sow 2.5 cm (1 inch) deep in individual pots from April to May for the safest start.
  • Outdoor Sowing: Plant seeds directly outside from mid-May to July once all frost threats completely pass.
  • Spacing: Space seeds 10 cm (4 inches) apart within rows, leaving 40–45 cm (16–18 inches) of space between the rows.


💧 Soil & Water Care
  • Soil Requirements: Prefers light, fertile, and highly well-draining soil. Dig in plenty of well-rotted garden compost or manure a few weeks before planting to lock in moisture.

  • Watering: Water regularly to keep the soil evenly damp. Increase watering heavily once the white flowers emerge and the flat pods start stretching out.

  • Support: Because 'Artemis' forms a sturdy, upright, self-supporting bush, no trellises or climbing stakes are required
